CBC Lite has minimal tracking and event data is used for analytics purposes. CBC Lite currently stores a user session cookie to send events when loading a page, after an article has been read, or when playing a radio station.
You can read more about these read events here. Within these events information is sent around what page was being viewed and if an internal feature (More Stories Like This, Search, etc) sent the user there.
